NEWMARKET RADIO CONTROL CLUB

 2009/2010 INDOOR RACING SERIES

THE TRACK

Our track material is the most user-friendly we have ever come across. It is made of fire-hose laid out with corners being retained by large colorful plow disks. Everyone is requested to help with track set up and teardown. New track designs and layouts from members are always welcome.

OVERALL CLUB RULES AND REGULATIONS

The Registation Fee for the 2009/10 indoor racing season is $25 for each class, and $20 for each additional class. Practice and race night fee is $5 per person. 12 years of age and under are free and are not subject to the $5 fee. (This covers the entire indoor season excluding special events).

Registration must be done at least 1 week prior to a race day in order to give the organizers time to check for frequency conflicts, and to organize classes.  You can register in person  at the track on Mondays, Weds or Saturdays. Cash Only Please

KIDS 15 years of age & Under MUST be accompanied by a Parent or Guardian at all times.

A frequency clip MUST be used at all times during practice. You will remove the clip from the frequency board and replace it with one bearing your name so officials and other racers know who is currently using the frequency. If you have frequency conflicts during practice times, you must work them out with the other club member (it is not the organizers responsibility during practice). Any radio system is allowed (ie: Futaba, Jr, Hitec, Spektrum, FASST), provided that it is on a frequency that is legal in Canada. 75 mhz & 27 mhz or 2.4 GHz.

Mains are determined by your total lap count after running 2 qualifiers. They are added together and your total compared to other drivers determines which main you will run in. We do lap-counting by hand, so personal transponders are not required.

Marshalling after your race is MANDITORY. Should you fail to marshal you will lose your previous qualifier. If you have to race in another class and cannot marshal it is YOUR responsibility to find a stand in.

Abuse both physical and verbal WILL NOT BE TOLERATED and WILL result in a ban from NRCC for one season (at the track or on the NRCC Forum). We strive to be a family oriented place to spend the day and encourage all members to remember this.

Safety is always an issue within our club and we strive to ensure everyone is playing as safely as possible. Under no circumstances are you to cross the track to retrieve your car should it become damaged or flameout. ALWAYS walk to the outside of the track and the marshals will get your car back to you once they have a free hand.

NO SANDALS - Sandals are not to be worn by drivers, marshals or anyone in the pit area. There is no driver stand, so keep your feet well protected from runaway cars.
